Swift FX vs P10

Post by ronragus » Sun May 29, 2022 8:49 pm

Currently I use the P10 for her (old headgear version) and often have the problem with the headgear stretching out. Locally I see that the Swift fx is on sale for 80cad, overall it seems like a more well made model except for the diffuser? Is the diffuser that much worst than P10? My pressure at night is only 7.

There is no diffuser at all on the Swift FX.
If you have a bed partner they might not like having the cold air hit them in the face or middle of the back.
Otherwise the Swift FX is a nice little mask.

When I changed to the P10 from the Swift FX my hubby didn't say anything for a couple of weeks and then he ask me if I had changed masks because he was no longer getting the cold stream of air in the middle of his back or on his face. Mind you he never complained to me but he sure appreciated the change to the P10 because the vented air had been a bit annoying to him.

did you know that running that headband through the wash and dry tightens it up? won't keep doing it forever, but it can certainly make it last longer.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

There’s a ResMed clip that you can attach to the headgear to tighten it. The original ResMed part is rather pricey for what you get (a tiny piece of plastic) but copies are sold on Amazon that work equally well at about 1/2 - 1/3 price.

By the way, the latest ResMed headgear for the P10 I got from my DME now features an adjustable design.
