Tired

Post by Tamar » Sun May 22, 2022 9:53 am

I have been on the CPAP machine faithfully for over one year and am still so very tired in the mornings plus have brain fog. Don't know if this is serious. Am a senior.

Hi - we need info to help... which model of what machine do you use? At what pressure settings? What mask? What was your diagnosed AHI when tested? Have you been tested for other possible reasons for tiredness beside apnea? Do you take any meds (many can interfere with sleep) and which ones? How many hours do you sleep? Are you aware of wake-ups overnight?

In addition to what Julie has said

it would be really helpful to know
1...How many hours of sleep are you getting each night? Real sleep and not just laying in bed.
2...Are those hours of sleep you do get fragmented by a lot of wake ups or do you sleep fairly soundly for the most part?
3...Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what? Don't forget that OTC meds count. Give the name of the med please...don't just say BP meds or heart meds...need exact name.
4...Do you have any other physical or mental health condition going on?
