I'm using the N30i mask and it's the one for me. Best mask I've tried over the years.
About 3 days ago I noticed the cushion was not connected to one leg of the frame. When I tried to reconnect it, it wouldn't connect. Turns out there is a little plastic oval insert that was missing from the end of the supply tube. So, I was able to tape the cushion to the frame well enough to get it to work.
Now, the cushion is the old style with the hard plastic end pieces. I ordered a new frame and cushion from Amazon and it arrived yesterday. Of course, the cushion is the new style with the soft silicone ends and the exhale diffuser. Since my old cushion was fairly new, I decided to swap cushions and keep the new one as a spare until needed. Seems the new frame and old cushion aren't compatible. I couldn't get one side of the cushion to connect to the frame.
Does anybody know if ResMed did this by design, or could I possibly just be not connecting it properly. I know I have it lined up properly as I've done this many times before. Are the new frames incompatible with the old cushions on purpose?

All good info there and I didn't watch them all, but I didn't see any reference to whether the old cushion would fit the new frame. I'll keep playing with it, but I think there's something different between the two frames.

Re: Question About ResMed N30i Frame/Cushion
You will most likely find that the hard plastic connecting piece from your old nose piece is still in the headgear assembly, and that is why the new nose piece won't go in.
You should be able to remove the hard plastic connecting piece with a bit of care.

I got the same idea yesterday and sure enough, there it was.
Thanks.
