So people don't have to scroll back a bit, I have attached it to a more current reply
Now, any suggestions on tape I should use to seal it up?

you might try veterinary tape. i see it's on amazon but my first look shows multi-packs. we aren't sure it would work so why spend that kind of money?
this should be available to you locally or some online place that will sell a single roll.
others will be along with other ideas, i'm sure.

Vet tape. I'll check it out a bit later. Thanks for the assistance.

I know this is an old thread, but if you see this, I'd be very interested if this worked well.

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Thanks. I'm giving it a go anyway. I now have an Airsense 10, but used my old S9 on flights when we went to the US (from Australia) about 5 years ago. The S9 with battery and without humidification worked well except for the dryness. (You can't use the humidifier on flights, and anyway the battery would have only lasted about 3 hours if you could). Without humidification and tube temp, the Airsense 10 only uses about 30W of energy which is pretty similar to the AirMini; the Airsense 10 is just more bulky. I have to travel shortly all night in a recliner chair to Tasmania from Melbourne, with no power point available, and want to get some humidification. The portability and size of the AirMini would be great if you were travelling a lot, but I don't so can't justify buying an AirMini. I've bought an AirMini tube and the AirMini adapter to go with my N30 mask. Now just have to find a way to attach the AirMini tube to my Airsense 10. I really can't see any reason why it won't work, though you'd think there'd be an adapter available if it were problem free, and there isn't one, or none that I can find. So perhaps it's not problem free. I've read that there could be pressure issues, though nothing seems definitive. Anyway, I'm giving it a go.zonker wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:38 pmop has not been back since june 2020.dallaslewis wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:01 pmI know this is an old thread, but if you see this, I'd be very interested if this worked well.

@dallaslewis
Now I'm resurrecting this thread! Did you figure out how to attach the airmini tube to your regular machine? Did it work well? I'm looking at doing the same as you with my F&P Sleepstyle.

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
Good day all,
I only log in on occasion as I can get answers and information by not having to log in. I have been around though I have not checked out this thread since the vet tape suggestion.
I ultimately gave this a go and bought all the necessary items and it worked like a charm. I was able to shove the rubber mask adapter down a bit further to cover up more of the holes on the side. I then used a generous amount of elastic medical tape to help prevent leakage and tested it on one of my camping trips. Leaks were a non-issue as there were no different results than what I get at home on the resmed application or importing my results into OSCAR. It was a success!
The goal this year is to be able to use a 720 watt hour portable power station without the need to recharge it. I did a handful of tests via DC & AC and the difference was huge. I would be able to go at least twice as far using DC every time over AC during my home testing. Camping at 7200 feet might give different results. I do have a solar charger to go along with it. Can't wait to see how it goes next week.

Still here. Great info on this forum. Once again I am having trouble attaching my jpegs again. This time they are small enough in size. I will keep trying.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 1:06 pmOh, good, I was afraid zonker had killed another one with his vet tape trick.tommyboy39 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 12:54 pmGood day all,

Re: Using HumidX on any machine
I thought I’d share my experience on adapting a ResMed AirMini P10 Mask with the integral HumidX HME for use on ANY CPAP machine. I have a Transcend 2 Travel CPAP and have used this adapter successfully recently. This should work with any of the AirMini masks currently available.
The adapter I used was purchased as part of a 4 piece hose adapter set from Amazon. One of these adapters is shown on the picture which fits perfectly on the ResMed proprietary connector without using any tape or adhesive.
Personally, the humidification offered by HumidX (even the Plus version) is a bit lacking but good enough in a pinch or when the ambient humidity is high (e.g summer time).
