I need to make a new addition. There should be a wireless charging pad in each room. While no CPAP machine can be powered from a charging pad, it's presence allows one to charge a phone without competing for electric sockets.
Not likely to happen---too easy to steal.
And not everyone uses one; also some are proprietary to one brand of phone only.
Power strips are the answer--easy to pack--along with your very own charging pad.

I have a surge protector power strip that I take with me. It is small, lightweight and easily fits in my carry-on or our rv. Although our rv has a surge protector that connects to shore power I like this extra layer of protection and the connivence of hooking up my electronic devices.

I brought my CPAP on a cruise a few years ago. Surge protectors are not allowed on ships, they cause problems due to the way the electrical system is set up on ships. I bought an extension cord that had an outlet and 3 USB plugs ins. It worked perfectly to plug in my CPAP and charge my phone using the only outlet near the bed.

It is quite rare to have an issue in a hotel room. Cruise ship cabins are an entirely different story! Often, even a newly renovated suite bedroom will lack bedside electricity.

Power strips are good for Americans traveling within the U.S., or to Canada, Mexico, or most of the countries in the Americas. However, they are not generally allowed on cruise ships, and might not be compatible with foreign electric systems, especially outside the Americas.

Europeans similarly can use European power strips within the E.U. and most countries outside the Americas. European power strips similarly might not be allowed on cruise ships.

Note than charging surfaces can be built into the night table so that you'd have to steal the whole table or extract in an obvious way.

He probably gets bored and thinks, "What can I post today to get people to react?" And sure enough, we often react to it.

So folks....guess what would likely happen if someone were to lock this thread???
My bet is another one would take its place.
Do you "ayes" really want another thread floating around like this one? I kinda like having this stuff all in one thread that I can easily ignore and not bother with.
I seriously doubt that locking this thread will stop him. I would rather have all the rhetoric in one place myself so I would just hit that little "mark topics read" thingy at the top and I wouldn't even bother opening it.

Yes very true! We were shocked to go on a new (just before the pandemic hit) cruise ship only to discover an outlet on ONE side of the bed. And only ONE plug! They had to tape an extension cord across the floor from the desk for our second CPAP, since we both use them.

On our preferred cruise line, there are outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed and I can use the wall lamp to hang my AirMini...perfect setup!
