Sudden Changes

Post by cpapveteran » Sat Apr 30, 2022 12:56 pm

I’ve had a Remstar Pro CFlex+ Since my diagnosis in 2013. Never had an issue until the other day, had big time condensation and difficulty exhaling. Never a problem with this machine, I messed with the cflex settings and basically just went and changed them, then back to where they were. Worked fine for a couple of days. Then it went back to rain forest and hard to exhale, which makes it impossible to go to sleep, feels like being strangled. Anyone run into this? Machine going out on me? Thanks for any answers.

What is the model number for your machine?
Look on the bottom of the blower unit.
You have chosen a System one 60 series auto cpap in your equipment profile....the Pro model is a totally different model.
Model number would clear things up.

What is your humidity setting?
What is the temp in your bedroom?
What is the ambient humidity in your bedroom?

When you say "rain forest" are you referring to it feeling hot and humid or steamy? Or are you experiencing condensation in the mask or hose?

How many machine run hours is on the machine?

Did not see my model on the list. The tag on bottom of it Remstar Pro DOM 460p circa 2013, Missed one night in 9 years. Never had any condensation, hose has a covering, temp at night 68. AC practically stays on all year, I usually have my machine on 2, the other night water was in my mask, tubing full of droplets, and breathing with mask on very hard to exhale. I looked at the settings and nothing had changed. The changed the CFlex settings to back and forth, surprisingly it work fine a couple more nights, then back to where it was when it with the droplets and exhale function messes up.

Your machine is not the auto, just leave the model blank and put this as a note:

PRS160 Pro 460

Also, yes, your machine *IS* on the recall list.

And according to one poster, they do replace them, even with high hours.
Bingo! You might score a newer machine--sans crappy foam.
