Since the machines are no longer forwarding the daily data to whomever, if you know how will that affect Medicare monitoring a patients usage requirements to enable them to receive the required monthly supplies?
There's no reason to get supplies on a monthly basis, that's entirely unnecessary and wasteful.
How so, Medicare allows for the supplier to send a 3 month supply of the facemask portion for example. That eliminates the end user from having to place an order monthly. My supplier will not take an order until the 30 or 90 days cycle has completed and then it takes about 10 days for the order to arrive.
Because the "replacement schedule" is a FICTOIN created by greedy DMEs to get their customers to throw away perfectly good equipment and BUY MORE so that they will MAKE MORE MONEY.

There is NOTHING that needs to be replaced on a Resmed machine every month (yes, I'm talking about filters, check the clinical manual, six months or as needed (if you're in a dusty environment), not every two weeks like your DME lies to you about.

Same thing with hoses, masks, humidifier chambers, cushions, etc.

*NOTHING* needs to be replaced on an entirely arbitrary "schedule", you were LIED TO.

I bought my vAuto out of my pocket and all my supplies as well. I don't get any communication from the online sleep study place (Singular Sleep) since the transaction for the machine was finished. No "How ya doing?" "Sleeping good?"...nothing. So I am pretty much left on my own to get what I need and figure out my own pressures. So, that said, I don't guess it matters to me if the cellular signal is sending them anything or not.

You're getting exactly what people who are treated in most sleep labs and "sleep medicine" clinics get as far as follow-up. The only time they want interaction with you is if it's covered by insurance, and once you meet the compliance requirements for insurance coverage, they usually don't care. The DME's might try to talk you into replacement supplies whether or not you need them, but not because they care about how you are doing.
