Want to send back my ibreeze…what machine(s) should I look into?

Post by Cftw » Tue Apr 19, 2022 10:48 pm

New here and to cpap therapy. Have done a lot of searching on this board and the web, now am individually crowdsourcing. My husband is active duty military and I have tricare select, all my equipment is through the same company that my doc put the sleep study in with. They did not give me the option to choose and I received the iBreeze. After during research I have learned that this is not a great machine and the things it does is not typical of a high quality machine. I would like to send this one back and get a high quality machine but am not sure what I’m looking for exactly. I’m willing to pull my rx from this company and go elsewhere to get what is best for my health/sleep. TIA!

Thank you! I was looking at the Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her and comparing it the the Resmed AirSense 11 as it seems the 10s will no longer be smart phone compatible. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My Airsense 10 autoset for her is 4g, but I NEVER USE the cellular connection.
Ever without Oscar, the screen gives me more data that NOTmyair ever will.

This isn't (necessarily) true.

Older 10s with 3g or 2g models are no longer compatible with existing cell services (dependant) on country.

Recent Air 10s (with 4g) are equallcompatiblele with cell services as the Air 11.

Oh, okay! If I may ask, why is the preference for the 10 over the 11? TIA!

dog slobber will give you the technical details as he knows more about that sort of thing.

for me, it's more that the 10 is a known quantity and pretty much a work horse. the 11 simply hasn't been out long enough for the forum to know much about it.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

The 11 is still unproven. There is still no long term data on quality and durability. There is still severe supply chain supply and parts problem. Getting replacement heated hose, humidifiers, filters, side-cover, power-supply, dc-dc converter is difficult or impossible. The redesign of the heated hose (removing elbow, and swivel) reduced functionality and created less manageable hose system.

Thank you, both!

After the input here and watching some youtube reviews I’m going to procure the “for her” model mentioned here. 🙏🏼 It’s a smooth process.

please be aware that like a lot of other things, supply chain issues apply here as well. also, there was that respironicscs todo over foam. combined, this pushes out delivery times on any resmed machines.

i know you have insurance. but you may want to consider buying second hand, if that has any place in your budget.

good luck!
