CPAP Tubing
CPAP Tubing
I use a Resmed CPAP machine. I have terrible issues with wearing headgear and the uncomfortable straps across the side of my face. Is it possible to use oxygen tubing instead and how would I se that up?
Re: CPAP Tubing
Not sure what you are asking here.
Using O2 instead of cpap??? Or substituting O2 tubing for mask headgear or whatever (which won't work)???
You really haven't given us much to go on. Like what you are using and specific complaints or problems with your equipment.
Might want to read this.

Re: CPAP Tubing
I suspect it's the old notion of oxygen INSTEAD of cpap.
Sadly, when an apnea occurs, NOTHING goes into the lungs.
It's like a door is shut in there.
Cpap "opens the door", so you can breathe while sleeping.
No amount of oxygen blown up the nose will get into the lungs during an
obstructive apnea, unless cpap is stenting the breathing passage open.
Many of us get the wrong mask to begin with--often more than once.
The key is finding one you can tolerate enough to get to sleep.
Mask liners and soft fleece covers for headgear where it touches cheeks can help.
PadaCheek.com has some nice, washable covers and liners for sale.

Re: CPAP Tubing
Seems to me that the OP asking if he/she can use O2 tubing instead of the normal air tubing with their CPAP machine. I'm sure that the answer is no as these machines are not designed to force air through such a small tube, too much of a restriction.
