I used my new N30i small cushion (the new version) last night and loved it! I didn't feel any leaks and there seemed to be no mask movement.

However, I didn't tape my mouth last night and it showed. I woke up around 4 AM and felt the pressure in my mouth and the air seepage around my lips. I've got to figure out the tape thing. I'm using 3M Micropore 1" tape. When I pull if off in the morning (very slowly) it's pulling my skin around my lips. I didn't use the tape last night because the upper part of my lip was raw from pulling the tape off in the mornings, so I tried sleeping without the tape - apparently not a good idea.

Is there a better tape choice? Now, 3M tape might work as I continue to heal from nose surgery. I have a lot of drainage from my nose and I have to blow my nose a lot, so it's likely the skin under my nose of overly sensitive right now. It's only been 3.5 weeks post-surgery.

Nope because it's all YMMV. You just need to keep trying and find the one YOU like.

There are a lot of choices - Somniflex, Coverall, Hypafix, Medipore, Micropore, etc, etc, etc...

Currently I am using 3M Medipore.

The advantages:
It is nonwoven fabric based. For me it's more comfortable than the paper based Micropore.
The adhesive does not react as much to my skin type so less sticky residue.
More convenient because it comes in 2 inch width to better shut my big mouth

The disadvantages:
I have to trim the fringes otherwise it can be itchy.
And it is more expensive.
