How to make the ResMed Air sense 10 more quiet?

Post by ErnieH » Tue Nov 16, 2021 4:49 pm

It seems to have gotten louder. I actually think it's the water chamber, and yes I have bought new water chambers and it's the same. Are there any tips on how to make the Air sense 10 quieter?

Thanks

you might try putting some padding under the machine-spare mouse pad, folded towel or foam.

also a white noise generator. be sure to place the generator between you and the machine, i know, it sounds obvious, but you never know what might need explaining.

oh and how old is the machine?
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

My ResMed AirSense 10 suddenly became louder at 5 years old. Disturbing our sleep. Water chamber, hose and mask all in order. Received a new ResMed AirSense 11 from Kaiser via Apria as the 10 was out of warranty. I had been using an ozone cleaning device, the SoClean. Apparently this may have contributed to the problem perhaps breaking down seals or something else within the machine. Just got my AirSense 11 and the SoClean is going in the trash.

My started making noise in year 6 I think. So I got a new one and it makes the same noise from the get go. The new one doesn't happen as much.
