Still awaiting reply from RX service to find out if they'll write it up for BiLevel, but figured I should start researching models asap in case it works out.
There is apparently a shortage of machines due to supply chain and probably more so now the Philips recall, so every second counts.
Anyway...I am looking for a BiLevel machine. In another thread someone mentioned the ResMed AirCurve, which looks amazing and also appears to be one of the most popular ones.
1. I'm sold on the AirCurve already, however I am open to suggestions of other brands and models of BiLevel if there are any other good ones you think I should consider.
2. I have a question about the AirCurve. There are three models:
AirCurve 10 S
AirCurve 10 VAuto
AirCurve 10 ASV
It looks to me that the VAuto is the middle of the road version and probably would be good for me, but the ASV model sounds intriguing and more advanced for people with complex apnea situations.
Any thoughts on those two models?
3. Also just realized, do you have suggestions of good websites to order from that are reputable? cpap.com seems good but I'd like a few other site suggestions as well since units are bound to be out of stock on some of the sites. Would like to order a brand new unit (not used), from a well-known / reputable dealer. The shady places, you never know if it's even the real deal or a counterfeit or used item.
As always, thank you

No, bilevels don't work like that, the different models are targeted to different needs, they're not like buying a car, "oh, and I want the leather seats, and the mag wheels, and add on the heated seats too".wannasmile wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:21 pm

They're more like a truck, pickup, moving van, 18 wheeler, dump truck, different needs, different trucks.

Can you give any guidance as to the differences in the three models I mentioned, as well as the ST and ST-A ?palerider wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:46 pmYou forgot the ST and ST-Awannasmile wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 8:21 pmStill awaiting reply from RX service to find out if they'll write it up for BiLevel, but figured I should start researching models asap in case it works out.

Since I understand little about these, it would be helpful to have someone explain it and help me decide the best model for me.
Regarding the latter part about how they are made for specific purposes, I get it. I wasn't interested in the ASV simply because it was "fancier," I was interested because it mentioned "obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central and/or mixed apneas and periodic breathing." and I have considered the possibility that I might not only have OSA. I have no data or tests to prove anything though.
