Remediated DreamStation1

Post by D.H. » Wed Oct 20, 2021 7:21 pm

Philips sent me a DreamStation2 and asked me to return the DreamStation1.

In my case, the machine has too many hours and is too old to rehabilitate.

Has anybody gotten an "officially" refurbished or rehabilitated DreamStation1?

They sent. Nobody asked me, they just sent it. I'm using it rather than the antique that I had trotted out of storage after the recall.

So far, nobody answered - at least not in the this chain - whether (s)he has been given a remediated, refurbished, rehabilitated, (or any other synonym) DreamStation1 machine by Philips.

The DS1 is white and the DS2 is black, so it's easy to identify what they sent.

They all may be black now--Resmed is having trouble getting other colored plastic.
Respironics may not even be trying.

Color is low on the priority list!

However, I really think that remediated DS1 machines will be white. I think that they'll reuse the cases.

My recalled device is a Dreamstation Auto CPAP and color is white. Is that a Dreamstation 1? The replacement I received, as worded on the packing slip, is a REP Dreamstation Auto CPAP, DOM. Color is white. Blower hours is zero.

Flip it over (no water inside, please), and read the foil label on the BOTTOM.
A packing slip can say whatever they want--or imagine.
I would not trust these boobs any further that I can chuck a percheron.

The label on the bottom is worded exactly the same as the packing slip.

Does it look just like the machine you are replacing? Someone on another site mentioned that they were sent another DS1 with different foam as a replacement.
