Needtosleep, you may start feeling better once you have the ASV. I hope so! About air in your mouth: is the problem that your cheeks blow up? This is often called chipmunk cheeks. It'd help to know if that's what's bugging you.

Re: Need help keeping my mouth open!
My mother lost all of her teeth in her early 20's. I believe she had the same genetic disorder as I have (she died before testing was available) and this condition can interfere with tooth enamel so dentition can be seriously affected. She would never talk about it, so I can only assume. She had a full set of dentures she removed twice a day to clean, but wore them 24/7 otherwise. When she had to have surgery she insisted on having the denture holder on her chest in recovery so she could put the dentures back in the moment she was conscious.
Her gums were perfectly fine until the day she died. It seems that one would have a better fit with a CPAP mask with the dentures in place, providing underlying structure to hold the mask.
