DreamWisp--noisy?
DreamWisp--noisy?
I have used the Dreamwear Gel mask in the past, but I found it very noisy. (Somehow I felt I could hear the air whooshing past in the tubes near my ears, but who knows what the actual source of the noise was.) I believe the pressure I use is between 12 and 13. Has anyone noticed any out-of-the-ordinary noise with the the new DreamWisp? I currently use the Wisp nasal mask and don't find that noisy. Thanks much for any input, and best wishes.
Re: DreamWisp--noisy?
With my DreamWisp I find that if the exhaust port on the mask is covered by the sheet or blanket, especially if the auto pressure has adjusted above 12, can be noisy. otherwise it is silent.
I checked it with my tricorder and the actual noise level was 16.75. Or did I only do that in a dream?

Can you tell I'm too sick to do anything useful ... just sitting here holding down the couch while I sneeze, cough, and blow my nose...

Re: DreamWisp--noisy?
I used the Dreamwisp the first night when it was new, no moisture, no noise issues. The second night I used the humidifier and got the worst night sleep ever. If a drop of water got near the vent hole the noise ranged from squeak toy to tea kettle whistle, waking up both me and my wife. I used a third night without the humidifier and could not sleep in anticipation of the next blood curdling squeal. I have been using a CPAP for over 15 years. I do not recommend DreamWisp
