EMFs. The CPAP machine is less than 6 feet away from me. It is about 2 feet away.

You do realize that there is a MOTOR and various electronic CIRCUITRY in the machine that creates EMF?

dunno if they have one for your cpap, but check this link for the CLINICIAN (not the user) manual. it may have instructions.

https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap- ... tup-manual

you may have to go through a few more links but it looks like the manual is there.

good luck.

Electromagnetic fields and waves are impossible to avoid.
They are everywhere.
It might be wiser to learn more about them-
-then you would have less unreasonable fear.
This kind of fear is not a good thing at all

This video explains the procedure of what you were asking...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvUxYeTyOls

For some ResMed machines, there are disassembly video's online that explain how to disconnect the cellular antenna - unfortunately, I could not find a disassembly video for your machine, so that you could do the same.

Thank you JLROhio. That helped a lot.

The cellular modem sends out a stronger EMF when transmitting and receiving. The EMFs from motors and electronic circuitry are less. I used to work in I.T. and our server rooms had cellular modems and they interfered with cellphones used by staff and management. That was back in the early 2000s. Things have improved since then.
If you ever think of digging into your machine to look for the antenna - make a video!
(not sure how the "quote" function works, so I did it old-school way...)

That is a good idea. will document it when possible.

You're welcome!

Let us know if the machine turns the cellular signal back on after either power cycling it or the machine is unplugged/plugged back in (leave it unplugged for a min or two).

I believe that I've read on here that ResMed's will turn their cellular signal back on with power cycling. That's probably the reason someone made a video of how to disconnect the cellular antenna for ResMed AirSense 10 models.

With your follow-up, this board can have a data point of your particular machine...and you can help others seeking the same questions you came here for!

If you ever think of digging into your machine to look for the antenna - make a video! :)

I should have known that. Granted, it has been since the '90s that I last used a BB. The current one is mostly similar, but with a few changes. Like getting back on a horse.
