Replacement or New Machines

Post by kwikwater » Sun Sep 19, 2021 6:53 pm

I'm curious what brand and model machines are being provided by DMEs for new patients or patients needing a replacement machine. I know the Phillips recall is messing with things, let alone the whole covid shortage of things. I"m wanting a replacement machine and wondering if Resmed or Phillips Respironics are as hard to get as my DME would lead me to believe. Thanks all!!!

My DME said that because of Phillips recall, there is a run on Resmed machines.... so there is a shortage there. It's like the toilet paper thang during covid. I recond we are going to have to wait it out.

This is not the way the market works. ResMed machines are on allocation based on past purchase history by each DME. If a DME bought mostly Philips machines, they are not getting much if anything from ResMed.

My DME sells almost exclusively ResMed machines. They are currently getting machines from ResMed, but due to shortages, there are some delays.
