Resvent IBreeze CPAP

Post by kwikwater » Sun Sep 19, 2021 6:50 pm

I'm getting leery of my 6year old Respironics PR System one and have started into arguing with the DME and my primary care doc for replacement machine. After 7 weeks, I found that the doc sent my prescription Aug. 28, but the DME has never called me. When I called them this week for an update, they were in the process of providing a Resvent iBreeze machine. I've never heard of it. There's nothing on this board about it. It's not supported by SleepyHead, which is critical for me.

Does anyone know anything about these Resvent machines?

seems to be a global outfit with two green dots on a global map indicating florida(?) on one side and oregon(?) on the other.

you might want to talk to the dme about this.

and i have NO idea if this would be software compatible.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Refuse to accept their . . . whatever it is.
Demand a decent machine, or you will take your business elsewhere.
Then follow through.

i'm wondering if this is going to become the "go to" machine for the medical industry to pawn off on folks in light of the philips fiasco.

i mean, obviously, it's THERE and shouldn't take much to get their hands on them.

Cheap Chinese knockoff of the ResMed brand. They even stole part of the name.
A quick google doesn't give me any hits for reliable online cpap retailers even offering the brand.
Been around since at least 2017 with a bit of discussion on the apneaboard forum

http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread ... reeze-CPAP

The green dots are probably import locations.

The fact that I can't find any online retailers (like cpap.com) selling it speaks volumes to me.

And no....it won't work with OSCAR.

The go-to machine for HMO's or MEDICAID.
Nobody gets one BY CHOICE.

My pulmonologist sells DME. I was set up to get one through BC/BS, but I refused. Granted I have no idea where ResMeds are manufactured, but the ResVent just received EUA to be sold in the US and hasn't gone through the full FDA clearance. I'm still not sure how this will work with my insurance situation. Switching to Cigna Jan 1. BC/BS requires 4 months of use to reimburse for CPAP (or it'll be a rental only), and Cigna has an $8k deductible that probably won't be met next year. Have a feeling I'll be stuck with $950 out of pocket, and if so, I'd rather just wait on the AS11 or get another AS10.

Resmed are made in Australia (serial number starts with 22) and Singapore (starts with 23).
* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ

I have no medical training or qualifications. Take my advice for what it's worth.

I have used Chinese phones for years.
WHEN they fail, I am merely inconvenienced.
If a Chinese cpap suddenly quits on me, I could DIE.
NO SALE!
