So, my backup Intellipap Autoadjust is now only good as a hose dryer?
Too bad, as I never wash my hose.
Directions for removal and replacement of foam would be most welcome.
Especially a source for good foam--WTF were they thinking?

There are a few varied IPs on Secondwindcpap.com (my 6-7 yr old one from them conked out a couple of mos ago) but they're mostly new price-wise if anyone's interested.
Not aware I ever had a foam problem with it at all FWIW.

Good point, Julie.
This reminds me of another alphabet soup chicken little story . . .
(Remember BPA? )
Was somebody marketing BPA-free plastics--using scare tactics?
We were pretty gullible then . . .
Now the market is full of garbage products that only exist to enrich.

Devilbiss seems to have made the right choice--
If you goof up big, get out of the kitchen.
Their market share was not so large, but Philips . . .
Too hard to let go of allll that moneyyyy . . .
Especially when they have so eagerly sucked up to the control freak providers.
I feel sorry for anyone stuck in the Respironics hamster wheel.

Hi LSAT, just added a summary and link to my post as this supports the concerns and evidence that machines from many CPAP machines manufactures present a risk of foam degradation. Thank you for sharing this.

Of course in my case the Intellipap is my backup for the recalled Dreamstations:-(

Link to my post is below.

My backup is also an Intellipap Autoadjust.
I have even run it off the "lighter" socket on the Prius--
at a rest stop, for a nap.
