Am beyond grateful to see your post. Despite the most of the comments, I hope you log on to see this one!
I am fifty yrs old and have had perfect blood pressure my entire life, even during pregnancy. In December of 2020, I had a full healthy heart screening and the medical staff took my BP several times and it was always perfect.
In late January of 2021 I started an APAP machine and hoped it would make 'a world of difference', as a other people said it would. It did not. Plus, my BP has been elevated ever since, which is now into the ninth month. Have had no problem at all adjusting to using the A-pap machine, so I know it is not anxiety. My primary now wants me to go on BP medication. I would rather give up the Apap machine as it has not helped my tiredness.

It has been three years since ypu posted. What have ypu learned? What have you tried?

Your HBP is NOT related to your CPAP use.
Listen to your doctor.
The longer you postpone treatment, the worse the outcome.
Stopping cpap is foolish, and will only make things WORSE.

If the machine hasn't helped you, it might not be set up properly for your needs = which is why this forum exists. Too many doctors don't understand how the machine works in relation to settings, etc. etc. We would like to help you use Apap properly to see good results, so can you download Oscar and follow the instructions re how to post, and experts here can advise you on where to go next. It's the most comprehensive and useful program for gauging how Cpap is working (outside of a dedicated sleep lab) and you should give yourself the chance to get therapy working properly. Obviously not every problem can be addressed if you have other conditions not related to apnea, but it's worth it to see just what is going on overnight so you can optimize that and then look into the BP issues.
