OT ...no time for anything important.

Post by carbonman » Sat Sep 11, 2010 8:56 pm

I finally got a chance to go explore some of the areas that I discovered
during the Komen 3Day weekend. Part of the walkers route on Sat.
went back behind the hogback. It's a beautiful place.
Looking south along the hogback and the mouth of Deercreek Canyon.
Image
The hogback is the final ripples of the uplift that created the Rocky Mtns.
It is the transition from the Platte Valley and the foothills of the mountains.
Image
This particular area has a distinctive cropping of uplifted and
sculptured sandstone.

For the first time in a number of weeks,
I had nothing particular on my mind,
no where to be and no time to be there.
Just time to enjoy a wonderfully pleasant day.
81F, not a cloud in the sky.
The low scrub oak is starting to show some color.
It is the start of the most magical time of the year.
Great weather, beautiful colors to come and
the best time of year for cycling.
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.
