Eh, a bunch of to-do about nothing. Nothing worth stirring the pot for. Let sleeping dogs lie. Ignore the thread and it will disappear.

OMG!!!
It appears that once again there are some here that need to get a life. .....Nothing else to do but whine???
If you don't like what someone says, rebut, but use facts not name calling, self-righteous innuendo, and total BS, short of that move on to another topic.
Slinky...as usual, you are so right!!!!! Much to-do about nothing.......
What's appropriate to post here is, for the most part, up to the poster -- if you don't like the subject, don't open or read it.....there are plenty more to choose from. Johnny and group have kept this a loose forum and it's for that reason it is so widely populated.
Den is right - if you want a highly moderated forum, there are a couple to choose from, but don't expect any real useful information there -- that's a big reason I'm here (still) - The self righteous pinheads at the "other" place, were just that.....
Hell. I've been here for a few years and I can't keep up with all the info -- Don't really care about UConn BB, but if someone wants to discuss that.....I certainly don't have a problem with it.....There's been crazier stuff here - and for the most part, it's generally very entertaining -- you got a problem with entertainment??? Seeya.......
In our condition, levity and distractions are quite helpful (and with ADD, distractions are a way of life for me!!!!!! )....

Sheesh!!!!!

cheers

In comparison to others, this forum is VERY polite. I think everybody TRIES their best to keep it that way, but everyone has their days when they're out of sorts or words don't come across like they're intended. Just don't take it personally.
If you want a VERY HEAVILY moderated forum, we can make recommendations. No links are allowed to vendor or commercial sites. No instructions are allowed on how to change machine settings......or suggestions for improving a person's therapy. The standard answer is "Go see (or talk to) your doctor or DME."......or, "Just hang in there". Those heavily-moderated forums are becoming "ghost towns" because the users can't get the information they "need"......the reasons they ended up seeking out the forums is usually because of the inadequate support from their "medical professionals".

Den
I am a relative "Newb" here, but I wanted to say that Den (Wulfman) is 100% correct IMHO

This forum is head and shoulders above the others when it comes to civility amongst the "usual suspects"

Also, the moderators do a pretty good job of "non-interference". The first week I was "lurking" here, I could not believe how most of the members responded so openly and how the discussions really move along.

People may "correct" you when you're wrong but they don't "flame" you.

I suppose that's why I decided to join this group. I continue to learn so much here. Just my $0.02

Cheers,

Dave

Take what knowledge you can from the early posts, and bail out when it goes over the cliff. (Unless you WANT to read on out of prurient interest...) Heck, as long as they are having a good time, why spoil it?

Well said Dave - you're absolutely right....
From what I've seen here flames are met with "anti-flames". There have been some, shall we say, rather testy interactions between some members and others. But for the most part as was said earlier, we're all adults here (well mostly ), and since it's really "Non-Political (again, for the most part)", we have some very spirited discussions but it rarely sinks to name calling and flames. We are all entitled to our opinions - generally they're worth what you pay for them -- and I think we all respect that whether we agree with it or not. As I said in my other post....if you don't agree, rebut the post, but do it with facts not innuendo and name calling....
The "politic" arguers could learn a lot here..... Dare I say it???? Naw.....we all know!!
Something I learned as a youngster is the statement about "freedom of speech"......
I may vehemently disagree with what you say, but I'll defend to my death (and did, and nearly died) your right to say it!!!!!

Actually, with the subject matter of this thread, essentially "we need moderation", it has been a very civil discussion. In the past this very subject matter has inflamed many .........
Perhaps we've learned???? Johnny isn't going to change it no matter what some "control freaks" have to say....
Again it was said earlier, and Den is absolutely correct, if you want a highly moderated forum to participate in, they're out there - just don't expect much useful information because the moderators don't allow frank, intelligent discussions.

cheers

Now that I've joined this forum, I don't like the way its arranged. Could we start having sections? I like the way other forums are arranged better...lmao. More organized....I don't like this layout

Attn. ::snapping fingers::
Mods, Mods... Could one of you mods move this thread to the More-ON section? TY
