Thanks for the info about Pur Sleep, Lee Lee! If I don't end up throwing my machine out the window (and I promise if I do I will put it on YouTube), I will get some.
NightDayWorkSleep, those two pix tell it all! That's hilarious! There is definitely a market for nicer-looking CPAP equipment. I'd even take a choo choo over my industrial gray contraption!

I'm glad to see an effort by the big companies to start gearing CPAP gear toward women:
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... r-her.html
And here's a "glam" shot profile:
https://www.cpap.com/viewImage.php?PNum ... rofile.jpg
(Sorry, I don't know how to load an image. the Img button didn't make it happen with the URL)
[Edit: See Ozij's image in next post!]
OK, it's not ready for Vogue, but then again, neither am I. Meanwhile, when I settle on a mask, I'll be getting some nice pad a cheeks!

It will work if you right click on the image itself, and get its URL from the properties.

Oh, that's another downside of having a Mac... I use a laptop and have no left or right click options. Between that and a Mac's incompatibility with CPAP software, PCs are starting to look attractive!
Thanks for posting the photo, Ozij.

If it's not a laptop, I believe you can change the Apple mouse, to a 2 button mouse, and then you get a right click, IIRC.

On Mac, use 'Command' click to get any available 'right click' pulldown menus.ozij wrote:If it's not a laptop, I believe you can change the Apple mouse, to a 2 button mouse, and then you get a right click, IIRC.

Ojiz and Dream Diver, thanks for the computer tips! I will try them next time there's a "fetching" piece of CPAP equipment out there.

Re: Is there any "attractive" CPAP equipment out there?
I'm a newbie. The first time my two dogs saw me in my mask and hose, they ran out of the room! My husband burst out laughing. He later commented, "after you turn out the lights, it's not too bad." Great for the self-image. However, after two weeks, we've all adjusted to the look of it. It may be shallow, but I sure would appreciate something a little less industrial looking.

I have patients who switch to oral appliances instead of CPAP for social reasons. See my site for oral appliance pictures.
Best looking appliance is the somnomed. Pretty purple. Most effective TAP 1 not so pretty but has a volume control for bed partner to turn off snoring. See link below for photos of oral appliances

Re: Is there any "attractive" CPAP equipment out there?
I guess it's like Tom Bodett says -- once the lights are out, you can't tell the difference between the Motel 6 room (CPAP equipment) and the expensive hotel (no CPAP/more attractive equip). Still, something less industrial be nice for those times before the lights are out! Glad your husband and dogs got used to it.
Goofproof, your CPAPs/shoeboxes seem to be collectors items, as it appears CPAP.com isn't even selling them anymore (and the price they have listed is rather expensive).

Quality can be expensive, but in the long run it's usually a cost effective. I have three so I'm covered...
