Events Per Hour rising with my AirSense 10

Post by mikerofone » Mon Jan 23, 2023 10:49 am

I've been using a ResMed AirSense 10 for about two years. Most of that time, my Events Per Hour are <5 98% of the time (maybe between 5-7 one or two nights per month).

The past two months, my events per hour have been between 5-7 for seven or eight nights of the month. What could be causing this? I don't think it's mask leak; last night my EPH was 7.1 but my mask seal score was 20/20.

Possible causes? I know the right answer is consult with a sleep doctor but it can take 2-3 months to get an appointment these days where I have my medical insurance.

The right answer here is to post OSCAR graphs.

Welcome, Mike. As DS and LSAT say, the best way to get help from the forum is to use Oscar and post a daily chart. You'll need a desktop or laptop computer, an SD card in your machine, and a way to read the SD card (either a slot in your computer or a plug-in card reader). Does this sound workable? If you run into snags getting Oscar up and running, just let us know.

An AHI of 5 is still like getting poked with a sharp stick every 12 minutes.
If somebody did that to me all night long, things would get ugly . . .

Thanks - I do have a laptop and an SD card in my machine, but I don't currently have a SD card reader for my laptop. I'll repost when I have one.

Excellent. I got mine for under 12 bucks on Amazon, for what that's worth.

mike? when you post the charts, could you do so right here in this thread rather than starting a new thread? it would be much appreciated!
