I find a lower ramp pressure than min. pressure is not needed for me. 6.8 at start is fine.

I may have to take Prilosec from here on out. The other acid type reducer I used periodically, like Zantac, are no longer are effective. A doctor did not prescribe Prilosec. He prescribed Protonix, which even with a double dose was not effective.

I will take a night as above anytime. Waking with no acid pain, zero aerophagia, and feeling rested. Prilosec may be helping me to heal up a bit after months of GERD.

The OSCAR report (that will not upload here) has a grayed out area. Is the gray area OSCAR recognizing that area as junk?

It is looking to me as if the current pressure settings are doing well.

Oximeter is on the way.

Tried AirFit F20 night before. Not good. For the first time I woke (within 3 hours) to find a ring of rash where the mask touches my face that was also swollen. The mask fitted well, no leaks, and was comfortable. Back to F10.
Yes yes yes! YAY YOU! Glad you are feeling better.

That high leak period there-fortunately you got thru relatively unscathed but any clue what is causing it? is your mouth dropping open or mask blowing at you?

either way I am thrilled for you. I know how hard you have been struggling with this, even after being on PAP for years.

Good luck.

My mom was on protonix for a hiatal hernia. In fact you just got me thinking about this.

I just got copies of some imaging I had done back in April. I wasn't told by my provider that ordered the test that I have a mild hiatal hernia myself. I already wanted to find a new doc but this just stacks up the reasons to move on. My hiatal hernia likely explains the periodic reflux I get when laying down and sometimes in the mornings. It was recommended in the past that by stretching/arching the back backwards and doing repeated deep breathing will sometimes help keep the esophagus taut and lessen the reflux. Mom used to do it with her back arched over her pillow with her arms over her head while in the chair watching TV. I feel like I need to start doing this regularly especially because I have been slouching a lot, which makes it worse. (I can do this standing up but mom was a bit unsteady to do this without being seated.)

This is my first attempt at O2 level monitoring along with the same night OSCAR data. I wonder if a correlation is indicated between dips in O2 and any apnea events. I also wonder if I had no CPAP therapy last night, what the O2 report may show. The time numbers on the O2 report are not correct but do show hours of sleep.

Think I have found a max pressure level that is not causing aerophagia at this time and is not hit as the machine rises up pressure to treat apneas. My pressures settings are so different than the 12-20 that was the setting for years it makes me wonder why that setting was dialed in so long by someone in a medical clinic who was definitely not a sleep therapy specialist of any type.

The OSCAR report here, I think, shows over 7 hours of sleep with successful apnea treatment. I am l waking today as tired as I was going to sleep, but that could be due to many reasons other than apnea. Another day lost to fatigue, but at least the acid and pain is down. I'm up just a couple of hours and want to return to sleep. Some days I will not sleep for over 24 hours, others I will sleep 12 hours.

The numbers look decent IMO compared to what you had going on before, but after a week of crap sleep with low AHI I will now be less likely to say looks great. Hopefully the drag you feel will decrease as you go along with the better treatments. I can't remember what you were experiencing with a slightly increased minimum pressure and cant recall is that was disastrous but maybe if you stay where you are at for a bit and settle in your fatigue will improve? I think when your min was too low the machine jumped up as fast as it could and maxed out iirc.

I really want you to be feeling better. I hope others here can offer more to help you.

I wonder if I should stay with the current pressure settings or raise them as per this report. I have taken max up to 11. I understand the min. may be a better choice to raise in order to prevent OAs instead of chasing them with the max. Aerophagia is not occurring at present setting.

This is a sample of my o2 Ring data the night before Does anyone have an opinion on this?

If it were anyone who wasnt suffering from aerophagia I would bet most folks would recommend a minimum of closer to 8. I wonder tho if raising the max will open you back up to more reflux. Its a balance and hopefully you will find that sweet spot.

If you import the data into OSCAR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvxAOrfd9LA
You can track the correlation between events and desats.

Couldn't find a link for importing oxygen to sleep HQ --
but this video could help you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ebg9-5l ... Q&index=72

It's clear from this SleepHQ report the events occur when the pressure is lower. I am guessing that that's when the desats occur too.
But that's guessing. Getting Oxygen graphs next your flow graphs would be factual data.

I sometimes compare the oscar to the sleep hq data but you are right that there is an advantage to oscar by getting the data side by side.

Right now I wish my apple watch allowed me to print out the sleep data, 02 data, and heartrate data so I can compare to either sleephq or oscar. I cant help but think it would be very interesting to see it all side by side.

This is the same O2 data from another type of software. I will attempt to get it into OSCAR. First attempt failed. I got the file converted to .cvs but found no way at the OSCAR site to import it into my report. O2 data Wizard did not offer any upload option. It was a fixed screen with only a link to another site.

I completed the steps to import data to OSCAR from the O2 Insight Pro app's files saved. I could not select the file to upload. When I open Finder using the Wellue import choice under DATA, the files are faded and not selectable.

I have no oxymeter, so can't help you from my personal experience.
I did notice the following:
Instructions wrote:If you are using the O2 Insight Pro software make a copy of the Oximeter binary file and store it in a different folder.
Maybe Dog Slobber can help.

I made a new folder just for O2 Insight Pro data saved as .csv files, still not selectable from OSCAR. I watched the YouTube vid on how to get the O2 Ring data to OSCAR. I follow the same path without success.
