New CPAP user - looking for optimization

Post by TheSeaOtter » Sun Jun 19, 2022 10:11 am

Can anyone help me improve by modifying the settings
Also, I've recently purchased the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. it's very comfortable and has better AHI per night, but shows very less info compared to my previous Philips ReMaster device.

Sorry to have upload numbers. I was unable to upload images from OSCAR.

You can use some other photo hosting website. I use imgur.com.

Numbers by themselves don't always tell the whole story but yours aren't horrible by any means.
Shorter hours of sleep than we would like to see but maybe that is normal for you.
How are you feeling and sleeping? Your AHI was less than mine was last night.

I have slept reasonably well. The airsense is certainly very comfortable, I haven't even used the EPR setting.
My main concern is that the Flow Rate graph isn't particularly uniform. I've seen many examples online where quite a few people have a uniform flow rate. This could be because of my 4-20cmH2O setting. Last night my AHI was 0.29 which is my best yet.
Also, I sleep 5-7hrs a day, which varies depending on when I go to bed. And the quality of sleep I'm getting is very good. People around me have observed improvement in me more than I was able to feel myself. But with CPAP, I'm definitely able to concentrate better so it's a win-win.
I want to decrease the range of pressures with an EPR at 1 and check if there's improvement in my Flow Rate uniformity.
If you can suggest a range based on the data above, it'll be great. I will upload both images, with and without the new changes tomorrow.

Thanks :)

It sounds like everything is going well for you. Beware of fixing something that ain't broke. :D
* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ
