How do you keep the airmini from falling on the floor??

Post by asn » Wed May 11, 2022 8:26 am

I travel alot, and use a ASV machine at home, and have been using an old S9 machine on the road. I just bought a airmini, and have found it doesn't always stay on the nightstand. I know there is a kit that allows you to hang it from a drawer, but the whole purpose of the machine is for travel, and not all hotels have nightstands with drawers. I have tried non-slip feet, but the machine is too light to weigh them down. How are other people solving this problem?

I am cursed with a couple of weird shelves, from which small items roll.
My solution: a small tray or shallow bin-large enough to hold the item(s)
plus something heavy to hold the whole works in place.
For example, a snack tray holds my eye drops and CGM reader;
weighed down by my bedside lamp--or whatever is handy.
Take measurements, and go shopping.
These small containers pack easily amongst soft clothing.
Consider hose management, so you are not pulling the mini off with your hose.

Depends where/how you are traveling. I, too, have an AirMini. I DID get the kit with the mounting options. I use a (Vera Bradley) softside lunchbox as my case for travel. It hold my AirMini, cord/plug, universal travel adaptor, hose, mask, silicone eye shield, a magnetic hook, some Command Adhesive strips, and 2 of the mounts (the flat one and the one that fits on the drawer). We cruise a lot and the magnetic hook sticks on cabin walls and holds my hose (I finger crocheted a loop to fit over the hose, but a ponytail holder would work, or even just a piece of string). The mount that fits a drawer also fits over a lot of wall lamps (I get very inventive!). I've used the Command Adhesive strips on the flat mount to stick the AirMini to the wall. The only mount I haven't really used is the one that slips under the mattress, but I can't imagine it would take much room if you packed it and I think it would work just about anywhere.

Sorry I don't see where an ASV, an old s9 (is that a straight cpap?) and an air mini will provide the same level of treatment. Really

In the past, not often, my Bipap would fall off night stand onto bed or floor, talk about a mess. I resolved by using large indrustrial velcro stips.

Look for it in craft stores or auto accessory suppliers.

Here, the Menards are both near HD, and better-stocked..
At least the Depot's video surveillance is good--helped solve a murder case here.
The victim worked at the Menard's next door.

The additional AirMini Mount System pack, which includes the drawer clip, also includes a strap you can put between a mattress and the bed base. It has the locking adapter on the end for engaging with the AirMini caddy. It has worked very well for me when travelling.
