Resmed Airsense 10 feels warm on standby mode

Post by Ltay » Sun Nov 21, 2021 2:52 am

I just bought a new Resmed Airsense 10 and notice that it feels a little warm while on standby mode. It’s warm even if I turn it off. (3 sec press and hold) It’s only when I turn off the electricity at the source then the machine feels like its really turned off. Is this normal?

I have an AirCurve 10 and it's the same way. Certain areas of the case are a bit warmer than ambient but not much.

Many electric things do that nowdays, in our new political correct world, off is no longer off. More money for the power companies, more free carbon to breath. Jim

What in the hell would this have to do with 'our new political correct world'? That makes no sense but that's pretty common these days it seems...

Let me guess? Cancel culture? They canceled the off button?

See page 6 - https://document.resmed.com/documents/p ... er_eng.pdf
Power save mode
Your AirSense 10 device records your therapy data. In order to allow it to transmit the data to your
care provider, you should not unplug the device. However, you can put it into power save mode to
save electricity.

See page 12 - https://document.resmed.com/documents/p ... er_eng.pdf
(After turning off machine) Device is cooling down. Device blows a small amount of air in order to avoid
condensation in the air tubing. It will stop automatically after
30 minutes.

The machine still feels warm even on power safe mode after several hours. Anyone here with an Airsense 10 which feels warm on power safe mode after several hours. My Philips one never felt warm.

Stop wasting energy worrying about things that DO NOT MATTER.
There are myriad things we do not understand.
It is all right to not know everything.
Anyone who thinks they do is seriously deranged.
