Why is it nonsense to confuse (as a newbie) two Cpap related names beginning with Res?
Your nonsense is claiming that "Respironics" is a name that Philips is using.

Maybe you think it's confusing to have "Respiratory" named similar to Resmed. the medical world should change it, right?

Well, Google seems to think you're wrong - Philips Respironics is all over the place - or have they divested themselves of the name so you could insult people here?

Are you incapable of reading the press release I linked where Philips bought Respironics?

Since when are you the arbiter of anything here - if you disagree with something, fine, but can't you be reasonable and civilized about how you say so and not treat others like garbage?

I understood what you meant....and many others probably do too.

It's just the way some people are...

Some live black and white lives and anything not black and white gets their blood pressure up.

Some...just don't have tact in their responses to others.

Just be glad you don't live with someone like that!
* This is the internet - what I write will probably NOT come across as it would in person; where one can read a person's face.
My posts are sometimes tongue & cheek w/some snarky sarcasm mixed in.
I leave it up to you to figure it out!

Thank you... The day I sign up to be his 'pupil' is the day he gets to critique what I do, but until then, he can practice his overlord role somewhere else.

I will continue to correct you when you're spewing nonsense, like your question "I wonder if the word Respironics (used by Philips) has confused people..."

or "Your 'centrals' are neglible and are more likely what's called 'clear airway events' that occur just on falling asleep and just prior to waking."

Perhaps you should write to the president of Philips and suggest that they rename the company they bought since it confuses you, and while you're at it, tell them to quit using the term "clear airway" instead of "central".

They do what they do; and since it is highly likely they WANT to confuse people,
I'd say they were successful, very successful indeed.
