I think Super Froggy is more appropriate. I admire how you are handling this. :)

FYI: "this" is not as bad as I expected, for many reasons.
I am relieved to no longer being kept in the dark.
My prognosis is optimistic.
I get to benefit from years of research--thanks to others who have gone before.
I stand on the shoulders of giants--those who have fought much tougher battles.
My chemo team is proactive in controlling side effects.
So far, I am more uncomfortable than miserable.
(Except when I foolishly overdid things.)

but, like cpap, you weren't BORN knowing these things. also like cpap, i expect this is a different journey for each individual.

you are learning (and will continue to learn) what is best for you.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

The falling hair was making my neck and back itch, so I fetched the clippers,
and asked my bald son to do the honors.
He did it out on the deck in the beautiful night and we managed
as best we could in spite of all our silliness.
It's a wonder I have no wounds from all the laughing.

Gary Larson--I was addicted to the page a day calendars.
I saved at least a couple year's worth--then he STOPPED.
Oh, Gary, how I needed your beautiful satire.

I bought his calendar every year, and kept the last one for several years before I finally got rid of it. I looked through it many time and now wish I had kept it longer.

I found a copy of his "Weiner Dog Art" book at the Goodwill.

If it isn't one thing, it's something else.
First the leakage thing, now a UTI, a bad one--dx Friday.
The doc rx'd one antibiotic, but sent my pee sample to the lab for culturing-
-another microbe! They had to change to a different antibiotic.
First antibiotic filled at CVS (instead of Costco)--close to the doc's office.
BIG MISTAKE! What a zoo! Stood around for over a half hour to get served.
Then the PA sends the corrected scrip to CVS as well. (Monday)
When the pharmacist at Costco finally got the scrip, they checked for interactions.
(((Wondering if CVS ever does!)))
(--I mentioned this to the doc's assistant. She did not disagree.)
The Costco team found an interaction serious enough they called the doctor.
Too late to fill my rx--had to wait overnight. Finally got the right drug. (Today)
At least one bug was being fought all weekend--now we kill all his friends.

The doc's office actually called in two prescriptions before they got the right one.
They called me three different times just to make sure I got the correct drug.
My fault I sidetracked the doc by going to CVS--
I did not want to go all the way across town.
I will know better NEXT TIME.
Once everything was settled, I called the oncologist
to ensure they have the right drug in my file.
Now I need to tell the Costco pharmacist the names of my anti-nausea drugs
dispensed at the oncology center.
Being a general contractor for my health is work!
