SleepyHead Results

Post by erolalper » Mon Sep 13, 2021 2:46 am

Hi everyone,

I use Resmed S9 Elite. I've been trying to use the device for a while, my AHI values are really low when I use it, I wanted to go a little further and follow it from the sleepy head :) My median values are as in the photo, can experienced friends comment? Especially Tidal Volume, Resp. Rate and Minute Ventilation are important, I think. Tidal volume seems a little low to me too.

Do you have access to a computer where you can see more detailed data?
If you do that would be better to use than the summary numbers on the machine's LCD screen which BTW are 30 day averages.

On the face of things though...all those parameters have very wide ranges of "normal" and normal can depend on a lot of physical attribute differences as well as where we live and male or female, age, etc.
Yours are all well within "normal" range.

But here's the kicker...they aren't things that you can really change with little tweaks of your machine's settings anyway even if they were slightly abnormal.

Quit worrying about them and move on.

I went back to look at your original questions. Normal TV will vary from person to person depending on such variables as size, age, and gender. Your RR is within a normal range. Your MV, which depends on both your TV and RR, is very good. So I don't see any causes for concern. You can always go over these metrics with your doctor if you continue to worry about them.

If you post another chart, please put the left-hand column plus the following graphs in one screen shot:

Events
Flow rate
Pressure
Leaks
Snores
Flow limitations.

You can squeeze them in by grabbing the horizontal gray bars that separate them.

Ok I understand the way of making attachment :) yes, zero AHI is a perfect thing of course. I had just wondered other values are good as much as AHI or not. I think there is no problem. Thanks a lot. Should I left the forum because of AHI? 😬

If you take the time to re-arrange the charts, it will save you time, because in the future you will only have to post *one* screenshot to get us what we need.

Alternatively, try clicking on 'view' in the menu, then 'reset graphs', then 'standard.

I will say that "there is more to sleep disturbed breathing than just the AHI".

You can have enough FLs and snores to disturb your sleep by you can still have great AHI.. :)

true, true.

i have my own problems currently with sleep. while the ahi is terrific, i'm doing multiple wakeups.

which is no problem as i'm sure it's down to my eating habits.

Is this a comment of my graphs or you just answer the @Zonker reproof "how can we improve ourselves even if AHI is zero? :)
