I tried diy "headlight house slippers". (jeff Ingalls joke)
It only worked when I could FIND them!
My go-to is a headband light.

probably best, my grandfather had a lot of radiation treatments when I was a kid, they let me sit with him while that was happening, and while he never glowed in the dark (much to my disappointment) that third arm I eventually grew has come in REALLY handy on so many occasions.

On occasion, I had imagined how much easier it would be to sleep
more comfortably if it were possible to remove one arm for the night.
Sleeping with three might be a challenge, but gardening, especially harvest,
would be a BLAST!
--As would many other tasks.
Could be heckuva musician.

The guys in the band think I'm an amazing drummer.

We hear you, Froggie. We are only three months out from hubby's last chemo infusion. You are going into this with the best attitude, we know you'll do well.

One thing that helped hubs: oncologist put in a standing order at the infusion center for hydration or anti-nausea infusions when needed. So all we had to do was call the infusion center to schedule infusion appointments and didn't need to call the doc each time he needed one. He especially used the hydration infusion option during chemo, which definitely helped.

Wishing you as easy a journey through chemo as possible :)

It is only the second day after chemo, and I feel pretty good.
Still waiting for the laxative to kick in--er out, as it were.
And it might be--noises in my lower regions . . .
I slept better last night than any day last week.
The oncology center has 24 hour on call docs.

And the lax finally took.
Looks like I chewed my corn really good Friday night.

I think the most amusing 'corn' comment from a totally inappropriate friend was:

"CORN? When did I eat corn???"

Double-OT: Saturday, while I was at Sally Beauty Supply, getting a soft brush
for my soon to be skinhead, my car was badly dinged in the parking lot.
The guy was very nice, giving me his info when I came out to my Prius,
when, sadly, so many others would have skedaddled.
Very nice guy--3 kids in his car---good example for the kiddies.

Most of the weekend I felt pretty good.
This morning, it feels like the chemo is kicking in.
I was bound up yesterday--now today, it's the total opposite.
The pain gremlins are skipping all over--a twinge here, a twinge there.
So far nothing I can't handle.
Not nauseous, but nause-ish; so I took an anti-puke pill--it seems to be working.

i'm just curious-does "the total opposite" come out of the blue or first thing in the morning?

because that could make running down to sally's beauty supply kinda tricky.

Luckily, I got Sally's out of the way Saturday.
The nurses apparently loaded me up with good medicine to cancel
the immediate bad effects; at least for the first two days . . .
Now I get to see what chemo is REALLY like . . .
