I filled out the paperwork. So far not even on a wait list.  In fact haven't even got an acknowledgement they got the paperwork. I won't be holding my breath.

Our local health department has a notification link to set up an alert when it’s your turn. I am in 1c which doesn’t come till March.

We have had no luck getting on the list for shots. When slots open up they disappear in just a few minutes. One of our daughters and her husband have managed to get their first shot. He is a police officer and she has retired from the police department.

this is what i know so far-

https://www.skagitcounty.net/Department ... accine.htm

link says that we should be given instructions on how to get on the list. my wife is 73 and i'm 66. i'm hoping that i can get the jab too.

daughter on the same property will turn 50 march 4th (sore feet day) and is hoping they will bend the rules for her too.

the son-in-law is a forest ranger and thus falls under the umbrella of paek police. this means he has deployed to DC. he did so yesterday and did NOT have an opportunity for a shot. we are all pretty much worried for him and can only hope that it goes well.

jan 26th is when the shots are scheduled to start. but i'm worried about getting on the list as oki states above.

fingers crossed.

but that's enough about them.

I was lucky to check online exactly when some slots opened. My wife and I got our first jab on Jan 14. February 11 can't come soon enough. Surprisingly, there was not much traffic in line for the shot.
Stay well.

Excellent. Remember to add two weeks to the February 11 date. "They say" it takes two weeks after the second dose for the antibodies and memory cells to build to a good level.

We had our first (Moderna) shot on Jan. 6th and the next/follow-up is scheduled for Feb. 3rd.
It was a "community" thing and was primarily for the senior citizens. Went pretty fast.

The bullfrog (age 74) is scheduled for rotator cuff surgery on Friday.
Not even having a cardiac stent will help him get a shot now.
But if we were to drive a couple hundred miles west of here, no problem.
Something is rotten in Nebraska.

Has anyone encountered what allegedly happened in this link.....? https://www.vice.com/en/article/y3gq9j/ ... y-rejected

Neither my wife or I have any interest in driving 60-70 miles twice for the vaccination, nor standing in a long line if we should take a trip. I asked the pharmacist at a local Walmart if they anticipate having the vaccination available and she stated they plan on it as soon as they can. We're hoping a Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, or similar will have it in the not too distant future. Gotten used to masks, so a bit longer isn't a big deal.

I had my first shot (Pfizer) just this past Thursday and my second is scheduled for Feb 10.
Other than a sore arm for ~12 hours it was a breeze!

Ha! I’ve already decided that March 14th will be the earliest date for my haircut. I plan to pay my barber extra for me missing the year. Hopefully she’s still working. Wearing a mask has become the same habit as buckling my seatbelt.
