How do I turn off the ramp for my Philips DreamStation Auto CPAP?

Post by mileena » Sat Jun 02, 2018 1:33 pm

I sometimes feel like I am sufforcating at first. I need more air. How do I turn off the ramp, which is set at 4.0? When I press the dial, it says "locked" for that option. I have a Philips DreamStation Auto CPAP HUMDOM.

Here is a resource to acquire the clinician manual:

I don't think that the ramp should be locked (or even lockable) feature. I'm not sure why they made it lockable.

The ramp is really of no therapeutic value, it's merely a comfort feature. It's good for many (not all) newbies who are unaccustomed to the pressure.

I would ask a different question.

Question: Will it be effective?

Answer: Unlikely. D.H. has been called out hundreds of times for posting incorrect information, but nothing has stopped him yet.

I saw this thread earlier but I do not understand how to turn the ramp off, even though I have the provider manual, so in fact I started a new topic but my message has not yet been approved - I just wanted to make it clear that I did find this topic before I posted.
