In reality your mother should keep this machine as a backup machine, just because she got a new machine doesn't mean it can't go bad. If it did she'd be without a machine.

Well my mother did get a new machine a couple of months ago, per the advise of her Sleep doctor because it has the latest updates, and she has very good insurance that purchases the equipment outright. However, she has hardly used the unit, because she states she feels fine without it.
So, I doubt she will need this unit as a backup.

It's getting into the price range where it might be an attractive back-up machine for somebody. I paid a bit more than that for my backup just last year, tho mine has way fewer hours. Half of it's useful life is left... that's plenty for a backup machine. Remember tho, the 36007 does NOT have the adaptive EPAP range feature that the latest model has.
