Dori,

I too am sorry to hear about Mike's setback. It is so important that you do take care of yourself. You've got great kids, it sounds like.

If Mike is half the fighter you proclaim him to be, he should have no problems!

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and your husband. Your children have given you some good advice: rest up so you can be strong as you move forward.

No good news to report, one step forward, two steps back. I had an episode of high blood pressure over the weekend, needed emergency care, doing better now on new meds. I'm trying to find a better schedule for myself so I don't stay at the rehab too long, we'll see. Mike gets agitated when I'm not there and doesn't really understand the toll this is taking on me. If he did he'd be devastated so in a way it's good he's removed from it. I'll update when I have better news to report. Thanks for thinking of us.

Oh Dori, so sorry! It's a shame that more 'family' or good friends can't help out more (on your instructions) because I'm concerned about what's happening to you. I hope you've at least worked something out re daily/nightly 'maintenance' coverage with a few intelligent staff there. And hope your BP's down now! Crossing fingers for both of you!

Dori - It's good to hear from you BUT you simply MUST take better care of yourself! You need to find a way to help Mike accept a different schedule so that you can take care of yourself. You HAVE to find a way to get more help while he is in there or ACCEPT that he will be agitated while he is in rehab. Perhaps, if you set up a different schedule and explain it to him, he may be better.

Just a thought- maybe his agitation has to do with you overdoing things for yourself. Is this agitation observed by you only or has the staff at the rehab mentioned it to you?

You need to talk to a social worker or a mental health professional to get yourself on a more realistic schedule!!! This is not good!

Dori, remember what you're told on an airplane? If the plane loses pressure and the oxygen masks are deployed, PUT YOUR OWN MASK ON FIRST before you help your lived one. You can't be there for Mike if you aren't taking care of yourself. So put your mask on (literally and figuratively) and take card of yourself.

Hugs!
