Problem with using EncoreBasic

Post by thowie » Sun Mar 17, 2013 5:53 pm

I recently downloaded EncoreBasic. When I tried opening it I got the message, "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation". I managed to open it by right clicking and using "Run as.." & "Run this program with limited access". When I try to view the down loaded data I get the message, "unable to generate the requested compliance download request". I will be grateful for help with this. I am running Windows XP 64bit.

Not a direct answer to your question, but have you considered trying to use SleepyHead instead?

That's weird.

What are you clicking on when you are trying to get your data and get the "unable to generate the compliance request"...
Is it the "View" and then "Detail" buttons or whatever. Where are you at? The History tab?

Never heard of anyone having problems opening it or getting the message you are getting.

Try uninstalling it and then reinstalling maybe???

Basic has been the least problematic of all the Encore programs.

You can use SLeepyHead if you wish but you will need the Patch file since you have a 60 series machine.
See this thread.

Thank you for the replies.
Clicking sequence was, History, summary, date range & view, also tried save & print, same result.
Will try re-loading, if it does not work will try Sleepy head + patch.

Hmm...if you are selecting the dates then maybe the dates you are selected are the problem.
I just tried your sequence and it worked but I left the dates as whatever it defaulted to. Did you change the dates?

Try this sequence
History tab.....detail...don't select a date and let it default to all data.. then view for now and see if it will generate a few pages to look at....it's slow so don't panic.
