New TSA rules?

Post by lktnky » Thu Nov 18, 2010 7:27 am

Just got back from a trip and neither airport checked my machine.
The first said they've stopped checking newer machines as they're mostly plastic now and easily scanned.
The second airport (Las Vegas) didn't even bother picking it up, just left it in the tray and didn't say a word.
NICE!

Lt,

You are using version 3.7 of the Rescan Software. I.m using the 3.12, which is thew latest. What's the difference between our versions of the software. What is 3.7?

Only difference I could find (I'm now using 3.11) is I don't have to select the constant on my downloads. I can select the number of days of data I want to download, click the default box and voila, I can download the same number of days the next time. Didn't used to be that way, you'd have to tell it every time how much and what to download.
I won't go to v3.12 as I don't think the upgrade helps me any, if I remember correctly.

My S8 went untouched and unswabbed in Pittsburgh yesterday. It got off easier than I did.

As far as the full body scan goes, "if they have not seen it by now, they do not know what it is, and if they have seen it before, it is nothing new."

Just got back from Seattle. I removed the blower unit from the case and placed it in the tub next to my shoes. They stopped and looked at it carefully on the scanner, but didn't call for a CPAP check like they've done every other time I've flown with it. Evidently something's changed.

Went through one of the nekkid body scanners in Indianapolis. I won't do that again.

"CPAP machines don't fly planes into buildings; clothed CPAPers do."

Did I hear that right that the pilots are being patted down???

Hell, if they want to fly a plane into a building they can do it with or without the patdown.

So these are the same type of government agencies that are going to straighten out your medical care?

Ahem. What I meant to say is that I too noticed while preparing to fly from Pittsburgh that TSA was no longer testing CPAP machines for chemical residue. My machine was treated with more dignity that I was.

Sure is the same government. Makes you glad you are not in the USA, doesn't it?

Oh have we already been expelled? I really can't say I blame you for doing it before we come ask you to bail us out.

Just think about all the wonderful people who, hearing all the news about groping, fondling, and molesting passengers, will now want to work for the TSA so that they can grope, fondle, and molest people every day with no repercussions because, well, it is part of the job. Even better for perverts than the priesthood.

My insurance refused to pay for a knee MRI, so can I just go to the airport and get scanned?
