how to read the S9 and card?

Post by nosenabook » Thu Jun 17, 2010 1:05 pm

I'm making progress updating my CPAP to something modern.

The doctor prescribed CPAP; the DME asks me what I want; so I'm thinking, S9 Elite, found on the Resmed site. It keeps a record of AHIs and leaks and shows them on the machine, right?

What does it take to read the S9 card so I can track data?

This time I am asking questions after research instead of just hoping for the best. Thanks for your help.

Yes, the Sleep Report provides AHIs, leaks, and much more. Great machine and the screen is very clear and easy to read. If you want to read the SD card, you need the ResScan software (current version is 3.11). This forum has a number of postings providing information to acquire the software.

Just because you're prescribed cpap doesn't mean you have to get the Elite, try for the S9 Auto if you can, even if it means asking your doctor to rewrite the script saying that. The card is SD which is the same as in some digital cameras, any inexpensive $20 usb card reader will work. Good luck.

Many computers now come with an SD card reader built-in... check first to see if you have one of those slots that you never use.
