what can I do with unused supplies??

Post by catfan » Sun Sep 17, 2023 11:25 am

Hi-

I was upgraded this year from ResMed AirSense 10 to the 11...the water chamber (which I HATE) is a different size, and the tubing and air filters are different as well.

I have 4 unopened packages of the ClimateLineAir tubing (#37296 if that helps), an unboxed HumidAir Standard Tub (#37299), and about a million air filters. Some filter packages are opened but most are not.

I actually asked my DME provider about recycling the unused products and it was suggested I "call hospitals". Really?

I think there is a nonprofit somewhere in metro Houston (where I am) but I forget its name.

Any other thoughts from you good people on where these expensive and still useful items might find a good and grateful home??

Thank you!

Unless you tell your supplier to stop sending supplies that you don't need, you will have this same problem with the 11.

Exactly why you shouldn't change from the 10 to the 11 when you still have new unused supplies that fit the 10. Really

Well, the AirSense 10 stopped working and that's how I got the upgrade, so there's that.

Hi catfan (and hi all to the rest of the board),
I'm brand-new to CPAP therapy; tonight will be my 8th night using the ResMed 10 AirSense AutoSet C2C with the ClimateLine tubing and I think I'm having pretty good results so far.
I bought my machine and all accessories out-of-pocket due to my insurance covering 0% of CPAP therapy DME.
I don't have permission yet to PM you (this is my first post on this board); is there any way you could PM me regarding these unused supplies?
I live in the D/FW area.
Thanks much,
--JL

Maybe Arlene1963 could use them, after having recently just won the garage-sale lottery?:

A Resmed that stopped working? Really?

I like the idea of giving them to a member who has to self-pay for their supplies. You could charge them the shipping costs.

And that is exactly what I will do. :-) I have replied to Jimmy's DM and we will go from there.
