Help with BiPAP Pressure settings

Post by SleepingBetterCPAP » Sat Mar 25, 2023 8:29 pm

Hello, I have been using the Phillips Dreamstation Auto-Bipap for a few years now. After trying a lot of different masks I landed on the AirTouch F20 with the BiPap. My AHI has suddenly jumped and I'm wondering if my settings are correct. I thought I landed on a decent spread of Min EPAP 16.5 with +5.5 for IPAP but AHI has creeped up.

My insurance has never covered my sleep apnea treatments because I am homebound and have not, up to now, been able to get a sleep study. I am having one done soon so hopefully that will change.

If anyone can help with any suggestions I would be forever grateful.

Another issue I'd wish to tackle, but I am not entirely certain is due to sleep is that since 11/2022 I've been sleeping 2.5 hours more per night than for the entirely of 2022. I've evaluated every other facet of my health which could be responsible and sleep is the last one I haven't been able to rule out. My AHI for 2022 was 2.77 and has gone up to 3.38 for 2023. To me, this rise shouldn't be responsible for 2.5 more hours of sleep but I'm obviously not sure.

Thanks for any helps and let me know if I know to provide more data.
