AS11 filter
AS11 filter
It appears when the filter gets dirty my AI goes up.
The filter change is much more often than with the AS10.
Is the filter material different.
Or is the AS11 more sensitive to dust.

Re: AS11 filter
Depends on how dirty the filter gets....It's filtering your room air. I change my filters (AS10) every 6 months and they are still clean.

Do you have a pet? That would certainly gunk things up.

I don’t shed either but i do lose some hair daily.
that said, you can take the filter out and give it a finger flick to help clear it.

Re: AS11 filter
How often does ResMed recommend you change the filter? I change every two weeks or so on the 10 (and now the 11) but when I change the filters never appear dirty.

Re: AS11 filter
With the last charts you posted, here is Pugsy's reply in part:
You were doing very well at the time. Now, how high is your AHI going? How are you feeling during the day? Energetic? Any excess sleepiness?...a really low AHI and everything is pretty unremarkable... I wouldn't be concerned about a single OA or even 2 or 3 during the night with reports like you are having.
Everything is pretty darned unremarkable and we don't worry about flagged events until we start seeing an awful lot of them all the time.
Your AHI average with this machine....well below 1.0....doesn't get much better than what you are having and I wouldn't worry about occasional events of any kind.
BTW, the pressure sensors in a CPAP machine maintain the set pressure. It would take a heavily clogged filter to thwart this. I assume yours is not so clogged.

Did you read the manual??Laos Film Director wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:53 amHow often does ResMed recommend you change the filter?
Page 26 of this manual
https://media.resmed.com/sites/3/202106 ... ER-ENG.pdf
Short version....every 6 months or sooner if it appears dirty.Check the air filter and replace it every six months. Replace it more often if there are any holes or
blockages by dirt or dust.
Same for past ResMed machines.

Re: AS11 filter
What I've been doing for many years now is to place a new filter next to an old filter. Look at it and make up your own mind if you want to replace it today, tomorrow, or next week or next month.
I do like to always replace the filter after returning from a trip using my cpap in a different environment.

Re: AS11 filter
Old house here--after 3 weeks, hypoallergenic filters are visibly grayer than a new filter.
If I do not install a new filter, I sneeze a lot more.
Not sneezing is more relaxing.
