New, still waiting for a device, options?
New, still waiting for a device, options?
Diagnosed in June 2021. Due to recall etc i’m still waiting for a machine. A kind soul gave me a used machine but I don’t know if it’s appropriate to use it since I have no idea how it works or what settings I need. Tired of being tired. Advise?

You're in the right place. Post a picture of the machine, describing it as thoroughly as possible. Include the manufacturer, the model, and any other identifying numbers. Post your sleep report as well, removing anything that would identify you or where you live. The most knowledgeable sleep apnea experts on the planet will reply with suggestions that will get you going.

Copy down the info off the labels on the back or bottom.
Most of what we need is there.

Re: New, still waiting for a device, options?
If there are nos. on the bottom, esp. large(r) ones, post those too, and whatever mask info you can get... we'll help with fitting, advice, even UTube videos to explain those. Remember btw. that the machine learns to match your breathing, not the other way around. Also don't feel you have to tighten the mask too much as it can be counterproductive (we can also help with leaks if those come up). Once you have the mask set up (there are basic pressure settings we can advise on) try wearing it around the house, watching TV etc just to get used to it (no machine attached of course). The mask e.g. may not be suitable for you, and we'll help with finding better ones AND please stay in this thread so we can follow along and not have to chase others for info.
And post a copy of your study results here (yours by law) too - will help us to help you.
