Machine turns itself off

Post by MoneyGuy » Fri Dec 10, 2021 3:38 pm

I searched and didn’t see this topic.

My Philips DreamStation is turning itself off at night. I don’t think I’m doing it during the night but will test this by putting a book on top of it. Could a loose mask cause this? The unit is four years old.

Maybe the "Auto Off" is turned on. I believe if the machine turns itself off because of "Auto Off" you will see an "A" next to a fan symbol in the display.
If the "Auto Off" function is turned on?, maybe try turning it off in Clinician menu. In older Dreamstation it is under "Device Settings"

It is possible for the machine to turn itself off if the leak is really massive AND the Auto Off function is turned on.

You can use OSCAR and look at the detailed leak graphs and spot the leak prior to the machine turning off. It's pretty self evident.
If auto off is "off"....then large leaks can't cause the machine to turn off.
Must look elsewhere for the cause.

Mine was doing that and it turned out that it was loose in the outlet behind the bed so if anyone moved around in the bed it would come unplugged.

I do and am waiting to hear from the manufacturer. I registered my unit months ago.
