I am again seeking a CPAP supplier for my supplies. I have two requirements:
1) They accept my insurance, MediCare and TriCare for Life.
2) I can talk to a human.

They can be located anywhere as delivery will be by mail.
All I need is the name of the company and a phone number.

I see you're on Whidbey... I've had decent service from Norco, which has an office in Everett. They accept Medicare. Not sure about TriCare. They seem pretty "adept" at handling insurance requirements/hoops.

Not the perfect DME by any means (is there such thing?), but better than I see described for most DMEs. They *usually* answer the phone when I call, though they recently implemented one of those "press 1 for this, press 2 for that..." systems, which adds some delay. But I have only experienced a couple times where "everyone was busy" - and in those cases, leaving a message got me a call back within the hour. Supplies typically ship from Idaho or even further away -- but they ship promptly, and don't charge extra (beyond the already-inflated DME rates) for shipping.

Good luck. With DMEs, it seems like the goal is to find the "least worst" one available....

When my preferred local DME lost their Medicare contract for a couple years, I used militarycpap.com (Optigen). they will accept Medicare and Tricare For Life. I always talked to a real person when I dealt with them. We got my wife's machine through them. They brought the machine to the house and set it up for her. The only problem I had was getting what few supplies I wanted. I would order one or two cushions, and they would send everything Medicare allowed on their replacement schedule, whether I needed the supplies or not. Once my local DME got their Medicare contract back, I went back to using them because I could walk in and tell them what supplies I wanted.
