Resmed Airsense 11 - Is there something in the pipeline?

Post by Chikorita » Mon Sep 13, 2021 5:56 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm in Australia.
I have an Airsense 10 that needs (non urgent) repairs.
I thought I'd buy a new machine and keep the Airsense10 as a backup.
The Australian Resmed chat support said there's nothing new coming up but I thought I'd check here in case anyone knows something.

Also, I'm pleased that I have recently passed nine years of consistent use of my CPAP and it's because of the fantastic support I received here initially and the ongoing support with my random questions.
I am very grateful for your help and I know many of those people are still here faithfully supporting members.
You're doing a great job.

Thank you.

Just released in the US a few weeks ago. Still not commonly available yet.
Unknown as to when the rest of the world will get it.

Very interesting. Thank you.
The Resmed chat people mentioned nothing about this.
It's annoying that Resmed is originally an Australian company and yet we are the last to get new releases and we generally pay more.
At one point it was cheaper for me to fly to the US, buy a machine and fly home than it was to purchase here even though the Aust factory is only a 40min drive away.

ETA This makes sense of why the 10 is discounted on lots of sites.

Unfortunately, it's no secret - that IS the kind of company re$med is.
AND they ban US companies from shipping to you.

My son, who is brand new to the world of CPAP, just received his AirSense 11 last week. His timing was perfect it seems.

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many...

I ordered a 10 as I really need one now and no idea how long they'll take to arrive or how much they will cost.
Did you upgrade from a 10?
What improvements did you notice please?

I got my 11 last week and so far the machine performs well. The things I noticed off the bat are:

-Bluetooth to phone assisted setup
-touch screen
-simpler interface
-machine is smaller/lighter
-water tank is easier to spill while filling
-hose comes straight out the back and air port does not rotate like the 10 does

I would not rush out to get this machine if your 10 is performing well, it feels like an incremental update.
