I believe trying to reason with this poster is akin to teaching a porcupine to dance.
Pain for nothing.
I foe'd him years ago--guess why.

You "found" something that was posted in a thread that you were referred to?
That's quite the detective work there, sherlock.

Plus how my lifetime with cars.
I started working on Honda motorcycles at age 14 in 1962. That is 59 years.
And I always have owned old cars, from a 1956 Studebaker when I was 16 in 1964 it was an 8-year-old which is like a 20-year-old car nowadays.
TO nowadays where I own a 1993 Chevy van a 28-year-old, and a 2003 Ford Crown Vic p Ex-Cop Car a 18-year-old, and a 2002 Ford Explorer, a 19-year-old. And a 1968 VW Bug, a 53-year-old.
We have had a 1985 Masa 626, 1993 Toyota, and a 2000 Toyota. In all my life I have not seen plastic and rubber parts of a car fail like these Japanese cars.
They have figured away by making these plastic parts have a much more limited life than most other cars. I have seen plastic and rubber parts fail too much in all three of these cars. Parts similar to even parts in the 53-year-old VW Bug that are still good.
The interior of said VW has dry rotted and need replacement.
Car tires here in AZ only have an 8 to a max of 10 years and they are considered not safe even if they have never been on the road due to aging out of the rubber.

The fact that you *believe* any of the above supports your claim, suggests you are not qualified to comment on foam.racprops wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 2:22 amWell:

You may be right.
But no one has come forward with any other real facts.
I have been working for about 60 years with nasty toxic stuff all my life. I have learned a lot about all of it.
Do your own research and present your facts and findings here.
I will be interested in what you find.

Re: ResMed VS Phillips
Cute...not accurate but cute.
IF I had my way I would trade in my 73 old body for a nice new clean flawless 25 year old one.
As I am sure all of us would.
So based on how many and how determined the supporters of ResMed systems have been:
Based on all the posts and others that seem reasonable, I am considering a ResMed ASV system.
So with some luck, I will show Medicare this next Tuesday that I indeed qualify for an ASV machine.
So with the ban on Phillips, I will request the only other make a ResMed Air Curve 10 Auto ASV.
This will allow me to see over a couple of months if A) I can get used to this system and B) if I both get better reports and more important: feel better.
I also will monitor my sleep with a ResMed Sleep Score Max sleep cycle monitor to see how my sleep cycles behave and I will use my Blood/Oxygen monitor to watch my Blood/OX ratios during sleep.
This will be a deep test. I will give it a fair test. I pride myself on letting the facts speak louder than my feelings and I am fully able to change my mind when it needs changing.
I will see where the facts lead and I will report on them honestly, no matter what the results turn out to be.
If Medicare does not provide the machine I will stay with my current Dreamstation ASV.

Re: ResMed VS Phillips
I am right. Absolutely none of what you posted supports your claim.
Because nobody *here* has come forward with any real facts, does not add any credibility to your silly claims. But no one has come forward with any other real facts.
And once again you are suggesting that working with nasty toxic stuff qualifies you to comment authoritatively on Foam types and their properties.I have been working for about 60 years with nasty toxic stuff all my life. I have learned a lot about all of it.
Why would I?Do your own research and present your facts and findings here.
I will be interested in what you find.
I'm not making any claims about their respective qualities and properties.
I don't have the education, experience, intimate knowledge of the exact chemistry of the Philips and ResMeds foams or the equipment.
You're the one making claims and when asked to support your claims you posted a bunch of nonsense.
The only claim I'm making is pointing out your non-existent authority.

So nothing specific at all, just a general whinge....
Re: ResMed VS Phillips
Well as you have no counterpoint and no facts I will not bother to respond to you from this point forward.

I fixed your quoting, usually best to just put what you want to say below the entire quoted part.
Now that you can PM, please send me one to remind me once I get in there and take pictures and check hours on all the machines.
