Squeaky elbow

I started trying out the dreamwear nasal mask and the elbow is making a loud chirping noise when I move around. Would putting some vaseline in the area where the elbow connects to the quick release help, or any other suggestions?

Sorry the part of the elbow that goes into the mask frame may be the cause of the squeak I mean.

I had a mask that did that.
I applied a tiny bit of vaseline inside the joint, using dental floss.
The defective mask was retired shortly after.
I replaced the mask--but with a different brand/model.

I would suggest inspecting the elbow joint for rough spot or debris that might be catching and vibrating the frame.

Try wrapping some teflon pipe tape on the elbow joint.
It might cover the said rough spot if there.

Another possible source of the squeak is the swivel.
Remove the swivel and inspect the joint.

Same fix attempt as above.

Else replace the elbow.

Mine did that too! I got another mask and switched out the noises elbow for the one from the new mask and it solved the problem. Eww that sound was so shrill I couldn’t handle it! I’ll just use this same elbow again when I retire this mask and reunite the God elbow with the new mask it came with.

My new frame did that for the first few nights. I took it apart and wiped it down and then put it back together. It did stop after that.
