CPAP Rental

Sorry if this topic is posted somewhere. I can't seem to find it. My wife and I are leaving for a five day vacation in June. It is the first time in 16 months I will have boarded a plane. We are trying to do it with carry on only. Does anyone know if there is a company that will rent portable CPAP machines. I know it is probably asking too much to get anything less than a months rental but more important is the size. It would be worth it to me to pay for the months rental if I could actually rent a smaller unit. Any suggestions here would be appreciated! Thanks

I don't know about rentals, but you can carry your CPAP on as medical equipment. It doesn't count as a carry-on or a checked bag. That means you can carry it, plus a carry-on, plus the normal personal item, and it won't cost you any more or even raise eyebrows at the gate. They're used to seeing them.

Thanks! This is great to know because the few rentals I have found don't rent portable machines which in some cases are bigger than what I have by the time you add a humidifier!

Do not EVER put your cpap in checked baggage.
The case for my Airsense 10 has a strap across the back,
so it slides over the handle of a wheeled carry-on.

I would also recommend you carry-on your own machine instead of renting.
