squealing/noisy wisp mask

Post by Buckeroo54 » Tue Mar 16, 2021 2:02 pm

Hi, I use a respironics wisp mask and have been having noise issues. I have been having high pitched squealing coming from the fitting that clips into the mask. It is not very loud, it took some time for me to track it down and sound goes away when I push on fitting at hose to mask. My spouse is being awakened by the sound.
I suspect that it may be a fit problem with either the short hose fitting to mask or the mask bore may be defective. The connection seems to have some play when mask is secured to hose.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
I notice that a resmed N20 nasal mask uses a gasket at the connection point for sealing and Wisp does not. ???
-Thanks
